A single layer DVD is the easiest of all to backup to hard drive.

Tool’s Required:-

I recommend Power DVD (or any other DVD player that will play your DVD. This is needed to unlock the files so that smart ripper has access to them)

I recommend Smart Ripper (will be included in the folder for my Guides)

Step 1
Power up your DVD player program and play the FILM for around 10 seconds (you cant just play the menu. You need to actually play the film aswell.) then you can close your DVD player.

Step 2
Open up smart ripper by double clicking on smartripper.exe and when it is completely loaded it will look like this



Step 3
Click option “BACKUP” on the right hand side of smart ripper.



Step 4
Choose directory to store the files in. (click the small icon at the bottom where there already is a directory name to change)



Step 5
Click on options and check that all options that you see wen it pops up are the same as below.



Step 6
Press Start! J

Step 7
Wait until complete and you get a dialogue box saying Rip Complete. And now you are ready to read my tutorial on how to burn a DVD from hard drive – DVD-R.
